Final-year Bachelor of Information Technology Management student at Shanker Dev Campus. I build web applications, analyse data, and find bugs for a living, one of them earned a bounty from Meta. This is where I keep my work and my diaries.

Pooja Main
№ 01About me

I work at the seam between business and the systems that run it.

My background bridges management and technology, and that's how I approach every problem with an eye for both the system and the people it serves. I've tested software and reported defects, verified transactions for accuracy, and worked on structured data annotation work that's taught me to notice what others miss. I also built Nivaas Hub, an online platform that makes searching for rental housing simpler and more accessible.

Beyond my core work, I travel, volunteer, and write habits that keep me curious and grounded.

Challenge

Developed a platform to connect people with compatible roommates or find suitable rental properties when moving to a new city.

Action

Built a mobile-friendly web application using a modern tech stack — React.js, Node.js, Prisma ORM — for authentication, admin screening for authenticity, and advanced search and filtering for easy finding and application.

Result

A responsive, scalable platform where users register, create property listings, search for properties or roommates based on preferences, and manage a profile with secure authentication.

Challenge

Hold a CV, a project record, and a personal travel diary in one place without any of the three drowning out the others.

Action

Set one type scale and a four-colour palette, then built every page from the same header, footer, and numbered section grid so the structure carries the variety instead of the styling.

Result

A single-page profile with a two-level diary behind it: an index of places, and a full page of photographs and writing for each one.

How I approach a project

01
Name the problem

Write the challenge in one sentence before touching a tool. If I cannot, I do not understand it yet.

02
Map before building

Data model, user flow, and screens on paper in Obsidian; tickets in Jira or Trello so scope stays visible.

03
Build in slices

Ship one working path end to end — auth, then listings, then search — instead of half of everything.

04
Try to break it

Test as a stranger would, log every defect properly, and fix the reproducible ones first.
